A planned module for building operator interfaces with buttons, status displays and controls for PLC-driven machines without their own HMI.

The concept includes operator buttons, status monitoring, recipes and setpoints, alarms and a machine overview. Every feature must be validated against the PLC and the installation’s safety requirements.

Our development goal is to build operator screens with buttons, indicators and controls linked to PLC and machine variables.
Buttons and commands for authorised machine functions.
Machine states and process variables displayed for operators.
Interfaces tailored to machine signals, operating modes and requirements.
Integration subject to assessment of the PLC, protocol and project requirements.
This illustration shows the intended direction of the module. It is not a working VALENT HMI screenshot.
These are illustrative elements only and cannot issue commands.

Unlike Viewer, VALENT HMI may support writing to authorised variables. Commands must be integrated with PLC logic, safeguards and the installation’s safety requirements.
The virtual HMI does not replace safety circuits, safe-stop functions or mandatory machine safeguards. Permissions, interlocks and operating modes must be defined and validated for each project.
